However, Canadian research completed just weeks ago, has shown that taking more than one drink daily may actually be harmful to health, as reported by John Floras, director of cardiology research at the Peter Munk Cardiac Center at Toronto General Hospital .

During the study, researchers investigated the Canadian center in real time to a total of thirteen volunteers who were fed 2.5 pounds of red wine, 1.5 ounces of ethanol or water at random in three separate sessions over about two weeks.

The selected wine had a high content of t-resveratrol (polyphenol compound found in plants) that has antioxidant properties.

And is that both alcohol and substance of it, such as resveratrol may improve blood vessel function and in turn prevent blood platelets from sticking together, which undoubtedly would reduce clot formation and the risk of heart attack or stroke.

However, it was shown that two or more drinks activated systems that recharge the movement, so that, if these actions are repeated frequently because of high alcohol consumption, some effects may expose individuals to increased risk of heart attack, he would revert to its beneficial effects.
