The rehabilitation process
Broadly, the rehabilitation process has three main stages. In the first instance we find the moment of awareness on the part of the addict and the will to recovery by the same. This is the most important stage of recovery time.
In the second instance is the detoxification stage, difficult time for the addict, in which withdrawal occurs, and the need to consume to avoid state and withdrawal symptoms.
Then comes the stage of rehabilitation. In this instance it should be much more when this therapy, which must accompany the outset. Therapy is key to finding the causes leading to consumption, and so work on them.
My boyfriends sister is a drug addict. She’s 17 years old. His family has never dealt with this kind of problem. I want to help him in the process of helping his sister as soon as possible.
What are some of the firsts steps we should take?
Please help.
Thank you,
Andy
