The Effects of Cocaine

CocaineThe effects produced by cocaine, vary the frequency with which it is consumed, with the abuse and the time it takes to consume. Cocaine is an alkaloid that works on dopamine, a substance that acts on certain neurotransmitters in the brain, disrupting communication between neurons. The effects are immediate to consume. There is a rise in mood, where the consumer is confident. It also produces great excitement and eloquence. The effect lasts approximately 30 to 60 minutes depending on the purity of the substance. Cocaine is snorted, injected after being dissolved in water or smoke, in the case of cocaine base or crack, which is a substance that did not pass through the stage of acidity.

When the primary effect produced by cocaine was terminated, the consumer is manifested in anxiety and depression, according to each consumer. If the individual is an habitual consumer, the state after excitation, is presented more acutely, resulting, generally, the need to re-consume. Test self-assessment of drug addiction

This test is a guide only and should not go to such extremes, as it may have a certain addiction or are in process, so that in any case or doubt you should always consult with a specialist.

To consider that someone is addicted to a substance must meet at least 3 of the 9 criteria listed below:

1. Use of the substance in greater amounts or longer than the subject intended.

7. Tolerance.
